In view of the high cost and labor intensity of manual injection for foam drainage gas production in gas wells, our company has developed an automatic stick/ball throwing device and an automatic agent injection device, and conducted relevant product experiments and research.
The automatic throwing device mainly consists of a shell, an electromagnetic head, a turntable, a rod storage cylinder, etc. The throwing process is safe and reliable. The automatic injection device mainly consists of solar panels, batteries, inverters, plunger pumps, medication tanks, and remote controllers. It works in conjunction with a digital remote control system and sends instructions through station control software to achieve remote control and automatic quantitative injection of foaming agents.
1. The automatic filling device for the wellhead foam ball has a compact structure, small volume, and light weight.
2. Device high and low pressure separation: Through the design of the ball throwing piston mechanism, the storage cylinder (atmospheric pressure zone) is separated from the ball throwing main valve (high-pressure zone), improving safety and convenience of ball storage.
3. The control method of the automatic volleyball throwing device adopts a combination of timed control and remote control.

The on-site application of 86 wells shows that the equipment has stable performance and high degree of automation, with a cumulative increase in gas production of 8.1 million square meters and an annual savings of 2.1 million yuan (USD 336000) in production and operation costs. The application of this technology has improved the efficiency of foam drainage gas production and provided technical support for the popularization and application of foam drainage gas production.
